SPECIAL PRAYER POINTS
Special Prayer Points
Dear Praying friends, Thank you for being willing to prayer for our work. Here are a few points we would really value your prayers for at this moment.
A number of new projects are planned for the coming months. Please pray especially for:
CCM Job Club
In September CCM are intending to launch a Job Club at its Family Centre building in Wood End. This club will be part of a wider Job Club initiatives being worked on by a number of churches/organisations across parts of the city. Please pray for the setting up of this
At this stage we plan to run on a Wednesday morning and will offer support to those seeking work by helping with CV's, developing interview skills as well as fundamental things such as helping to apply for a job online.
We are currently looking to put together a team of people who might be willing to be involved. We need people with a reasonable level of computer skills (eg can use a laptop and are ok with using the Internet and something like MS Word) some training will be given.
We also need people who would help with hospitality (welcome, chat, tea/coffee making etc)
If you feel you could offer at least one Wednesday morning a month to help people who are desperate to find a job, or would like to know more please email me.
Early Intervention in Partnership with TLG – The Education Charity. Please pray for volunteers to come forward so that we can launch this new initiative at Moat House Primary School in September/October 2013. TLG trains volunteers as Behaviour Coaches to go into schools and support primary-aged children through issues which are often outside their control, such as family breakdown and bullying.
The launch of ROC Junior on June 11 went very well. We would appreciate your prayers every Tuesday between 3.30 and 5.00 for the group. If you would like to pray regularly for specific children, please e-mail Helen and she will give you the initials of five children to pray for and send you half-termly updates on those children.
The launch of the National Christian Helpline continues to be delayed due to technical difficulties. So this is very frustrating for all involved. The new system is actually 98% working. Please pray for a breakthrough in the coming weeks and that those who have the final say regarding this at Premier Lifeline will have the confidence to go ahead without the new system having to be totally 100% right. Pray also for plans to recruit from across the Midlands for new listeners to train for this ministry in the autumn.
Pray that the recent leaflet drop to every house in Wood End will increase footfall to our Shop and Café.
Please continue to pray for protection of our buildings and for all our staff and volunteers especially over the summer holidays.
