Eldercare

CCM is in regular contact with approximately 60 local elderly people. Many of these meet together every 2 weeks for lunch and an afternoon of activity. There is currently a waiting list for places as we can only cope with 35 each time.

We need female volunteers to help with our Visiting Service. The elderly very much appreciate this.

Each year we run our very popular Holiday at Home Week - the pictures below show how much this was appreciated and enjoyed in 2007.

The programme continues to foster relationship within the local community being part of NE Area Co-ordination's "Old Peoples Forum and Barry Hatfield, Eldercare Co-ordinator, is also involved in weekly outings to various centres locally in conjunction with New deals for Community and using the mini-bus they have provided.

Meanwhile our own programme of after lunch activities continues to challenge and entertain.
