Dear Praying friends,

Thank you for being willing to prayer for our work. Here are a few points we would really value your prayers for at this moment.

New Projects

In recent months various projects have been launched (Sparkles - mum and tots group; ROC cafe - youth group) re-launched (Quest - an afterschool group at Grace) and others are still to come. Please pray for these groups to create solid foundations and that a healthy number of people will join. Please pray for the people running the groups and for extra volunteers where needed (Foodbank, Job Club, ROC cafe etc) Please also pray that we hear God's voice on projects that we still have in the pipeline. We don't want to waste time and resources on projects that are not part of His plan.

Ongoing Finances

In a season of development it is a given that costs go up. I believe God is calling us into different areas of work and that he will provide the funds/resources/people to run these projects, but I do ask that you please pray for the funds we need to run both the new building and its ventures, as well as the building on Deedmore road and the many projects that have been running for some time. Please also join us in giving thanks for all that God gives each one of us every day.

Key Contacts

Whilst God sees, and loves, each one of us equally I get excited when I see us having opportunities to share the love and open welcome of Jesus to key families in the area. I believe if we can impact their lives with the gospel they could become advocates for His word and our work across the city. Please pray for opportunities to share Jesus with people and also for the courage to step out of our comfort zones and into God given conversation and situations. Please also pray for Connect in the cafe, our cafe-style event on Thursdays at 9.30am. This event is seeing growth and we pray that through fun, laughter and a simple gospel presentation people may move ever closer to Christ.

Family Centre/Community Room

I am very aware that through the hard work of people at the mission we have created two spaces (the Family Centre building on Bretford Rd and the community room in the CCM building on Deedmore Rd) which may be of real benefit to people which in turn may create some income to the Mission to support other projects. Please pray that we are able to have conversations with people who are showing interest in using those facilities.
