ROC CAFÉ
What is Roc Café?
A ROC Café is an initiative of Redeeming Our Communities - a multi-agency youth meeting place to provide diversionary activity for young people. They work well in areas with significant reports of anti-social behaviour or where there are insufficient activities for young people. A ROC Café is a great opportunity for joined-up work between local community groups, churches, the police, fire service, schools, local council and others agencies to provide a youth focused project that can have a significant impact on a community. The ROC Café has a significant track record in reducing crime.
ROC Cafés are already proving successful in towns and cities across the UK – they’re easy to start, fun to run and play a vital part in community transformation. Click on the "Redeeming Our Communities" logo above for more information.
An article by Helen Davis about the ROC Café has been posted on the main ROC web site.
